Seattle University School of Law
The Seattle University School of Law offers a specialized master’s degree in Technology and Innovation Law for foreign- and U.S.-trained lawyers who wish to focus their studies in the areas of privacy, cybersecurity, digital commerce, and financial technology. Students in the program examine the interplay between technological innovation, complex legal doctrines and regulatory approaches, business and market models (both cutting-edge and traditional), and the various actors whose interests, perspectives, and goals affect the technology law landscape.
The Remala Family Scholarship provides full tuition for a student from India who demonstrates both academic merit and financial need. The first scholarship was awarded in 2023 to a student from Haliwav, India, who attended law school with support and mentorship from IDIA, an organization that empowers underprivileged and marginalized communities by creating top quality lawyers from within India.
“With the aid of the generous Remala Scholarship, we believe [this student] will become an influential force for social change and legal reform in India,” says Sital Kalantry, SU Law’s Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and International Programs.
